How should i get my hair cut?

Ok i usually don't come on here asking these type of questions, But basically i'm supposed to get my hair cut since i haven't got it cut in for ever, And i have no clue how i should get it cut. I used to have a shaved kind of Eminem cut a couple years back, Then i grew it out and turned it into kind of a preppy skater cut, How people have it long and swooped to the side. Now my hair is just really long as some people call it a mop. Basically i like long hair, But it's to do damn annoying. So i'm trying to find something that is decently long but not to long, And wont make me look like an emo skater punk.
