What is a simple programing language and what is its syntax?

Try visual basic; it was my first, and is still my favorite, programming language. It is simple, and although most people don't know it, is very powerful once you know how to use it; once you learn the basics of BASIC, you can add DirectX to it and create games with very good graphics (no joke).
