Are canadians racists?

i had a canadian friend . he asked me what i was from i told him im from saudi arabia that means im arabic/muslim he didnt really change.my american friend told me that canadians are racists and he kept strongly holding his opinion. so i went to the canadian friend and i wanted to test him loll so i said. my mom is black/ my father is white we moved here. thats why im brown im mixed. and my mom listens to black music thats y im obsessed with rap. my mom's father is indian and hes jewish but he did NOT change on me.. are they really racists or my friend was a rare catch ?
