What is the voltage in Mexico? My friend goes to the Dominican and says her GHD's don't work properly?

And when I went to New York my hairdryer was so weak it would have been better if I'd just blown on my hair to get it to dry. Is this the case in Mexico? Am I gonna have a bad hair fortnight?
