Is this something I should be worried about RE 10 month olds eating...?

I have a 27 month old in my home daycare and he did this from the time he started with me at 12 months. His mom said his older sibling did this also. He's just starting to eat and not spit everything back out but he grew steadily and no one had any concerns except me. Since I see so many children and their eating habits - this one was new to me - but child ended up fine. It sure gets tedious cleaning up the gummed up regergitated mess though.
